KOBER’S Instrument Repair Is a full Service Wood Wind Repair facility.

Paul Kober is a Certified Straubinger technician and specializes in overhauls using Straubinger pads as well as conventional pads. Any aspect of flute and piccolo can be addressed. From a COA to a compete overhaul. Each instrument is tested (by a professional wood wind player) before it leaves the shop to ensure it meets our highest standards, and meets your expectations.

All repairs are customized to meet the specific needs and techniques of each player, and to bring out the best qualities of the instrument.

All repads include a mechanical overhaul

• Repair key action
• Straighten bent keys
• Polish screw tips and screw rods
• Removal of play from keys mounted with pivot screws
• Removal of play from keys mounted with screw rods
• Pinned keys are unpinned cleaned polished And all play is removed

All repads include adjusting intonation and voicing

In some shops buffing is a standard part of their overhaul. At Kober’s instrument repair no buffing is done unless absolutely necessary. (Further metal removal is not recommended because it will change the way the instrument plays) All bodies are hand ragged, plated keys are hand polished only solid silver keys are polished

WE advise that regular serviced instruments will perform at there best. All repairs completed at KOBER’S Instrument Repair are guaranteed except damage due to neglect and/or abuse.

All repairs are scheduled by appointment in order to return your instrument back to you as soon as possible.
